I Did It! I figured out how to use Bitcoin. I am downloading Bitcoin Core Wal. but have not used it yet. I have never used bitcoin. While it installs, I installed Electrum on my Mac & bought $4 of bit on CashApp & moved to My Wallet on Electrum. I lost like 11cents on $4.13. It there a cheaper way?
Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm talking about. I wanna start mining again on my spare PC, so I downloaded EasyMiner (I don't remember the mining software I used two years ago), I wanna add my Bitcoin.com wallet that I used back then. I have a 33 digit 'receive' code from the bitcoin.com wallet software that I think I should use. I don't how, or if it's possible. Appreciate guidance or alternative solutions. I'm looking for the simplest possible way to start mining. Thanks.
First time using Electrum/how to get bitcoins in my wallet
Hello Redditers, so this is my first time using this kind of currency called Bitcoin to send some money to my friend who is in the military. I downloaded the wallet no problem, but the problem is, I start off with zero coins. Is there a website that I am suppose to go to to buy the coins themselves? My second question being something a little off topic: does the military really use bitcoin as currency? If you are deployed or have any knowledge of that stuff, please feel free to answer that as well. Thank you :)
How do I use my bitcoin core node to validate transactions against BRD, HODL, Samourai or other mobile wallets???
I have my bitcoin core node setup. I use electrum personal server and can connect electrum to my own core node just fine. However, all of these mobile wallets that allow you to "switch to manual mode" and use your own bitcoin core node dont seem to work. Some allow you to put in your RPC Username/Password and others just allow you to put in an IP and a Port. I am obviously connecting via my own local LAN between my phone and the core node. I have server=1 set in my config and I have an RPC usepassword/port setup as well. What else needs to be done here or does anyone have any tips/tricks to get this to work? Thanks.
Hey so I bought bitcoin in 2018 and I think I used bitcoin core or something and I have a wallet with $200 worth of bitcoin sitting on my desktop, can someone please help me figure out how to transfer this onto an online wallet such as blockchain or Coin base
I use to mess around with bitcoin when a was Freshman in college a few years ago. Just recently I found my old wallet file and it's got quite a bit in it. How do I cash out?
I'm sure some people will tell me dont cash out, and I will keep some, but a lot of it in ready to turn to cash. I've never sold, only bought so if anyone can give me the rundown on the best sites and how to make sure I get the most in the transaction would be much appreciated.

Is there a way to use OCR to read send addresses into a wallet app? On my desktop I see a Bitcoin Cash address I want to donate to, but it's written out - how can I donate to this address in less than 20 steps?
20 new Bitcoin users for $20 - I just gave $1 each to any newby on my facebook who downloaded a wallet and sent an address --- Try it, it's one of the best ways to show people how to use Bitcoin
The other cool thing was being able to send money to 20 different people all over the world in 10 minutes or so. Bitcoin is so vastly superior -- this is a great way to teach friends how to use it. If you are low on cash you can even send smaller amounts or get the first people who send an address to send it to the next people in a Bitcoin gift chain. Armchair advocacy and education....what better way for a Bitcoin to spend a few minutes. Go!
Found Bitcoin wallet keys in my phone from 2013.... But I have no idea how to use them or what to do with it. Help?!
Hey guys... I used to play around with mining and crypto back in 2012 and 2013. I mined a ton of dogecoin and then forgot about it. I managed to bring back my dogecoin on my PC and then thought about how I had a wallet on my phone with some coins on it. When I went to try and reinstate that, I found I also have a Bitcoin wallet back up. Now I know I am not going to be a sudden millionaire or anything, but I might have some bucks on there. Is there any chance to see what I have and how to use it? All i have is a file that opens in Notepad++ with 235 characters. Nothing stands out as an address or anything. I dont know what I am looking at and I dont know how to check to see what can be done with it. Any help would be appreciated... if I have something significant in there, beers would definitely come your way.
